Alexandre Cremers — Founder
Alexandre’s research combines psycholinguistic investigations with game-theoretic and probabilistic modeling of language. He has long worked on improving the integration of linguistic theory with psycholinguistic and language acquisition data, and tackling associated challenges (multimodal participant distributions, small sample sizes, slider-based response data…) Alexandre has extensive experience teaching statistics and probability, and in the private sector as a data scientist and researcher in machine learning, optimization algorithms, and statistical modeling.
Emmanuel Chemla — Strategic advisor
Emmanuel is a pioneer of psycholinguistic approaches to semantics and pragmatics. More recently, he has focused on the application of linguistic methods to animal communication and uncovering the linguistic information encoded in Large Language Models. He currently works as a research lead for the Earth Species Project.
